Founded in 1991 by Suresh Rateria, Rugs & Riches carries a family legacy spanning three generations. Joined by his son Siddharth, the vision grew into a house of craftsmanship and contemporary design. From a presence in 51 countries our journey is guided by purpose and creativity. With decades of experience and a deep passion for design, we work closely with each client from interior designers to global brands — to transform visions into tactile, timeless pieces. 

From yarn dyeing to tufting, carving, and finishing, every step is handled in-house. This full control allows us to guarantee consistent quality and ensure each rug is delivered on time, exactly as envisioned.

Rugs & Riches is built on the complementary strengths of three people a master craftsman, a business visionary, and a creative director who bridges two continents. Together, they form a team that is as much about human connection as it is about
craft.

Suresh founded Rugs & Riches in 1991 with a single conviction: that Indian craftsmanship could stand at the forefront of global design. More than three decades later, he remains the creative soul of the company — present on the workshop floor, involved in every design decision, and the living memory of a craft tradition he has spent his life refining.
